Birch Class Recycling Project – 2018

During Spring Term, Birch class focused on the topic of recycling during their English lessons. They were shocked by the low levels of recycling in the local area and felt compelled to do something about it. They spent time researching and collating a range of statistics in order to write letters to build awareness of recycling levels, as well as promote the recycling we currently do within our own school. We were delighted to receive a reply from Rt Hon John Bercow, we have attached the letter below:

Sports Day 2013

This year for the first time the school sports day was held at the Westcott Cricket Club.  The sun shone and all the children took part in the races.  Thank you to all the families who came to cheer on the children.

A special song was written for her. (Sing along to the tune of ‘What shall we do with a drunken sailor’.)
Song for Mrs Ort

There’s a special person in our school,
Her name is Mrs Ort.

What would we do without her?
At Westcott School?

Mrs Ort helps us to learn,
At Westcott School(Chorus)

Mrs Ort helps us with our cooking.
At Westcott School(Chorus)

Mrs Ort hears us read,
At Westcott School(Chorus)

Mrs Ort helps us when we’re poorly
At Westcott School(Chorus)

Three cheers for Mrs Ort
At Westcott School(Chorus)
